Description: Meeting was called to order by Barbara Carroll at 6:15 P.M. A. Roll Call: called by Mary Blair 9 Present: Barbara Carroll, Mary Blair, Catherine Gootkin, Frank Cochran, George E. Carter, Wayne Hobbs, Shirley W. Washington, Deborah Davis, Moses Nelson 3 Absent: Maureen O’Sullivan, Evelise Riberio, Robert Spirito, Corporation Counsel Staff: Reginald Thomas Manager, CRB Service Guest: Captain Denise Blanchard OIC, Internal Affairs.
B. Review of Minutes Motion to accept minutes made by Frank Cochran, seconded by Mary Blair: unanimous approval. C. Agenda Review Motion to accept the amended agenda made by Mary Blair, seconded by Cathy Gootkin: unanimous approval. D. Internal Affairs Statistical Report & Remarks -Captain Blanchard reported that seven (7) cases were opened and nine (9) cases were closed in December. -The IA Unit will be in training the end of January for IA PRO computer tracking program for complaints. -Currently the complaint form is online and can be printed but the department is working for the ability to complete and submit the citizen’s complaint form online. -Reading assigned to panels A & B. -Re Case Review Form: Make copy of review and leave with IA. Submit original to CRB office. E. New Business -Fair Haven District Commander Herb Johnson suggested that CRB members ride along on a weekend night in the downtown nightclub district. Wayne Hobbs suggested that one CRB member a month ride along with Police Department. -Officer Strickland invited CRB members to observe the live-fire training simulator in the trailer outside the NHPD Training Academy. CRB members were able to view several simulated scenarios. -Create & distribute Annual Statistics Report for 2010. Tabled until next month. F. Unfinished Business Reginald Thomas, Manager CRB Services handed out training materials, reviewed case reading process.
